I am a female, 19 years old and currently engaged, to be married in 5 months.

I would encourage him to continue work in a paying job as I am a firm believer in a man being the main provider of the family. But I would fully support him if it was an on the side hobby.

If he was at home looking after our son and any future children we may have, yes. But not for him to sit on his bum playing computer games all day.

As I said before I believe that the male should play a huge part in supporting his family financially.
It’s ok if he has hobbies, but if I’m the one slaving my butt off all day and caring for the kids when I come home from work, waiting on him hand and foot…. It is just not on. He has to step up and be a real man instead of doing jack all, all day.

I would and have supported my ex husband in scenarios 1-6….At various times in our marriage I have loved, liked ,tolerated and hated my jobs but because I was the one who provided the stable income and although at times I was miserable in my employment, I took my responsibility as a wife and helpmate very seriously. Scenario number 7 would be a dream come true! I know being a homemaker is not appealing to some and that some parents would never allow their children to attend an elite boarding school, my thought is any opportunity afforded my children to advance their education and assist them with getting into Duke and USC would be worth the sacrifice of them being away 9 months per year.

I m an easy going guy, its my job to support my family and whatever makes her happy in those situations would make me happy also.

Call me a romantic, but I would support my spouse in all 6 first the scenarios. Being a home maker and raising children is hard work. Secondly, hardly anyone "loves" their job, statistics show that most people are dissatisfied with their job, but they do it like everyone else, to make a living, so if you make enough money for a household, the luxury of raising your kids and being available to be with your spouse and take care of their needs around the clock is well worth the sacrifice.

I’ve been on a lucrative professional career field for sometime now, and just recently gave it up to raise our infant son. There were no second thoughts on the matter, for us, family is what is more important and my husband makes plenty to support our life style.

On #7, the only issue I have with it, is if the spouse do not have any personal ambitions. I know of someone whose occupation is "trophy wife" and she does absolutely nothing all day. She has no kids, they have no pets, she does not have a job, she doesn’t go to school either, she doesn’t volunteer. She just shops and goes to the gym. Her life must be pretty boring, everyone’s life should have a sense of purpose IMO. A person without any ambition or dreams is sad. It may work for some people, but it is definitely not for me.

IF there is no selling or buying involved , why the they say I have to become a premium member(which is an extra 40 DOLLARS a MONTH) or have at least purchased 10 DVD’s which is an exta 30 bucks in order to even become eligilble, why the does no one on you tube give us straight answers, yeah I checked out the site. Stop just giving the basics give the whole story, plus u forgot to mention about the paper work you have to send in + a photo of yourself, it probaly just slipped ur mind
